Macpherson Simon has more than 15 years of experience in insolvency and restructuring at a Big 4 firm and in his current role as Executive Director of APCO. As a licensed liquidator, his experience in insolvency and restructuring work covers multiple industries such as property development, manufacturing, textile, independent power producer, oil and gas, insurance, and timber.

He is the member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Insolvency Practitioners Association of Malaysia (Full member Class A), and The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also holds the Foundation Certificate in International Insolvency Law (INSOL).

Apart from managing engagements, Macpherson also supervises the business operations of these companies to ensure the recovery or restructuring plan is on track, to provide maximum recovery to stakeholders. He also handles employee rationalization; deals with debtors and/or creditors for settlement agreements; liaises with statutory and regulatory authorities to ensure all statutory requirements are met; and regularly updates stakeholders on the progress of engagements.
